LOGOS is an after school, mid-week enrichment program that engages young people in the life of the church, providing opportunities to learn about God, have fun and create lasting relationships with others. LOGOS is not an acronym. In Greek, LOGOS literally means “the word.” In John 1:1 LOGOS is translated “word”- In the beginning was the Word and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. During their time at Ann Street, children will experience the four parts of LOGOS: Bible study time, Recreation time, Worship Skills time and Family Time. During Bible study, children experience the stories of faith through engaging activities and understand how God still works in their lives today. Recreation time allows children to participate in family style games while reinforcing life skills and consideration of others. Worship Skills time explores the elements of worship service through a variety of mediums, including music, art, crafts and drama. Our Family Time is where “family groups” composed of children and adults sit together at a table. Adults serve as “Table Parents,” guiding children in ways to have a respectful family meal.
The LOGOS program runs from September to April.
Transportation is available from Beaufort Elementary and Tiller School, and scholarships are available. For more information, contact Leslie Zeek, LOGOS Director, in the office or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
